River Adventure with

Arrowhead Country RC&D’s River Rafting Expedition has been inspiring students to engage in conservation for over 30 years. This unique educational event takes place on Indiana’s Tippecanoe River and combines rafting with hands-on conservation lessons led by professionals such as Conservation District employees and foresters. Aligned with school curricula, each lesson concludes with a test to reinforce students' understanding. The program has had a lasting impact, with several former participants pursuing successful careers in conservation as a direct result of their experience on the river. This expedition remains a powerful introduction to environmental stewardship, connecting young people to the practical and rewarding aspects of conservation.
